Job details
Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration maintenance technology/technician. Sheet metal technology/sheetworking. Tasks: Install and overhaul heating systems. Install refrigeration systems. Install ventilation, air handling and air conditioning systems. Troubleshoot heating systems. Troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components. Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices. Perform maintenance such as, recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating system. Handle, recover and store refrigerants. Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Red Seal Certificate. Air conditioning and refrigeration systems: Rooftop (self-contained). Heat pump. Built up (split system). Humidification and de-humidification system. Ventilation. Geothermal. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Personal suitability: Punctuality. Dependability. Reliability. Team player. Screening questions: Do you have the above-indicated required certifications?. Experience: Experience an asset.
