Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Installation. Service. Various locations. Repair. On-site fabrication. Tasks: Measure and mark sheet metal according to template. Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Fit and join sheet metal parts. Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Vehicle supplied by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills.
