*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor to join our healthcare training team to teach Basic Life Support courses on Vancouver Island. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care such as a paramedic, nurse or CPR instructor. *Responsibilities* * Deliver engaging training sessions in a variety of healthcare settings. * Facilitate hands-on learning experiences. * Assess student performance through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their professional growth. * Stay current with industry standards and best practices to ensure training content remains relevant and accurate. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to update curriculum and incorporate real-world scenarios into teaching modules. * Support students? development through mentorship, guidance, and ongoing educational resources. * Maintain detailed records of student progress and training outcomes in compliance with organizational policies. *Experience* * Proven experience in hospital settings or patient care roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of clinical procedures. * Background in nursing or related healthcare fields with practical experience in acute care. * Although we provide training and instructor certification, prior experience in teaching, training, or curriculum development within healthcare education is highly desirable. * Familiarity with medical terminology and current healthcare practices is essential for effective instruction. * Experience working with diverse populations and adapting teaching methods to various learning styles.
