*Location:* This position is for the RONA store in Port Hope, Ontario. *Position Summary:* A DZ Truck Driver is committed to achieving Northumberland Building Materials and Doidge Building Centres Ltd.?s Service sales and service goals while providing customers with the best shopping experience possible. This is through a commitment to deliver building materials to job sites in a timely manner and assisting customers in the warehouse. While not on the road, the DZ Truck Driver builds orders, loads customers? vehicles, and maintains the warehouse. This position reports to the Yard Manager. *Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to:* * Build strong and lasting relationships with our retail, professional and contractor customers * Builds loads/orders as required for pick up or delivery in an accurate manner. * Maintains equipment to ensure safe operation and appearance. Ensures that all circle checks, safety checks and MTO regulations are completed. * Processes paperwork for shipments. Check merchandise and received quantities against packing slip * Move merchandise to appropriate areas using a forklift * Performs other job-related duties as required *Qualifications: * * Exemplary listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Effective time management and problem-solving skills * Flexible availability based on store needs (includes evenings and weekends) * Basic math skills * Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations * Physically demanding; Use of ladders, climbing and lifting techniques when required. Medium and heavy lifting (50 lbs) is a major component of this position * Knowledge of the building construction industry; trends, products, application techniques and projects an asset. * First aid trained an asset *Requirements* * Must possess a valid Ontario Class DZ (or higher) drivers? licence * Must have a minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience * Boom Operator certification an asset * Forklift certification an asset. * A copy of your MTO drivers? abstract is required at the time of application * A copy of your CVOR abstract is required at the time of application *Doidge Building Centres Ltd. background.* Doidge Building Centres is an independent RONA dealer.
