Labrador-Grenfell Zone is seeking a General Surgeon to join the team at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied surgical caseload and work closely with a supportive interdisciplinary team.????????????????????????????????????????QUALIFICATIONSEligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)Must satisfy credentialing requirements of the Labrador-Grenfell ZoneMedical Degree (MD) from a recognized institutionRelevant clinical experience (asset)Satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authoritySatisfactory record of work performance and attendance????????????????????????????????????????DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerform and supervise surgical proceduresProvide inpatient and outpatient careAct as consultant to other physiciansSupport regional General Surgery services, including travel to other Labrador-Grenfell Zone sites as requiredDeliver telehealth servicesProvide on-call coverage for General Surgery including weekends and holidaysWork collaboratively with a team of physicians and nurses to deliver required servicesSupport person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements????????????????????????????????????????REMUNERATIONRemuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador.Base Salary: CDN 263,672 ?
