We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Processing to lead our processing operations and play a key role in delivering world-class products to global markets. The Role As Director of Processing, you will take full ownership of plant operations, leading teams, optimizing performance, and ensuring the highest standards in safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a senior leadership role with direct impact on operational performance, cost management, and continuous improvement initiatives. What You'll Do: Lead Operations Oversee all processing activities including receiving, grading, filleting, portioning, freezing, packing, and shipping.Drive production planning and execution to meet demand while maximizing throughput.Monitor performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency and output. Drive Performance & Efficiency Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.Optimize yield, reduce waste, and improve labour productivity.Partner with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime. Ensure Quality & Food Safety Maintain compliance with HACCP, CFIA, SQF, BRC, and other regulatory standards.Lead resolution of quality or food safety issues with strong corrective actions.Promote a culture of quality and food safety across all teams. Build and Lead High-Performing Teams Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and production teams.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Support recruitment, training, and succession planning. Manage Costs & Deliver Results Oversee budgets and control labour, materials, and overhead costs.Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.Analyze operational data to improve profitability and performance. Champion Safety Lead safety programs and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.Promote a proactive, prevention-focused safety culture. What You Bring 10+ years of leadership experience in fish processing.Strong background in plant operations, yield optimization, and cost control.Proven ability to lead large teams and drive measurable results.Expertise in food safety systems (HACCP, CFIA, SQF, BRC).Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
