You will provide overall clerical support to our lawyers. </p><p><b><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></b></p><ul><li>Managing client files from open to close</li><li>Communicate with clients on a daily basis, provide any developments on their file, answer questions, etc.</li><li>Conduct research to support legal proceedings</li><li>Draft and review legal documents: pleadings, summaries, motions, settlements, pretrial memos, etc.</li><li>Preparing AOD, request productions and undertakings</li><li>Review files and productions received</li><li>Scheduling EOD, mediations and court appointments</li><li>Manage and maintain lawyer calendars</li><li>Maintain and update electronic filing system</li><li>Additional tasks as required</li></ul><p> <b><strong>Qualifications and Preferred Skills:</strong></b></p><ul><li>3+ years experience working as law clerk (plaintiff personal injury considered an asset)</li><li>Law Clerk and/or Paralegal Diploma</li><li>Familiarity with legal research, case management software and e-filing systems</li><li>Ability to prioritize and multitask</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Deadline and detail-oriented</li></ul></div>\nCompany Description<div><p>In 2007, Sal Guzzo founded Sal Guzzo, LL.B., Professional Corporation, Barristers and Solicitors; with one goal in mind...to make a difference.
