Rheinmetall, a military equipment company based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, is receiving over $400M from two federal government contracts. The contracts will help the company consolidate or create 30 to 40 jobs and will affect 245 indirect positions
Kemitek, a specialized applied research centre affiliated with Cégep de Thetford, was unveiled. The $10.2M project was financed by contributions of $5.6M from the Government of Quebec and $2M from the Government of Canada.

MDA Space, a satellite manufacturer, will create 967 jobs. The new staff will join more than 1,000 employees at its Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue plant. The job creation will help the company meet its production capacity, which will be doubled since the company was awarded a contract of approximately $2.5B.
Vidéotron, a telecommunications company, will build 25 towers by the end of 2026 to improve the cellular coverage in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region. In total, the Government of Quebec is investing $170M in this project throughout the province.
