Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Wet/damp. Noisy. Odours. Cold/refrigerated. Dusty. Hot. Work setting: Rural area. Various locations. Farm. Landscape maintenance. Commercial. Parking lot. Tasks: Assist with landscape constructions. Tie and secure plants. Weed, prune and trim trees and plants. Cut grass. Rake and collect refuse. Remove litter and garbage. Cart and spread topsoil and other materials. Lay sod or seed. Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees. Apply fertilizers. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment. Write maintenance reports. Spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control. Perform other routine maintenance. Perform routine equipment maintenance. Perform routine maintenance work. Perform scheduled maintenance service. Perform general labouring duties. Maintain equipment. Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Perform minor property maintenance. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens. Sweep debris and remove snow from streets, sidewalks, building grounds and other areas, and load snow and debris into carts or trucks. Report required repairs to ground maintenance personnel. Perform snow maintenance operations including handling snowmaking and snow removal equipment. Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is available.
