JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE?
The HSEQ Director will develop, lead, and manage the health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) functions aligned with the overall business strategy and objectives. The role will focus particularly on overseeing all Magris Talc HSEQ systems and policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maintaining superior standards across all sites within the US and Canada. The Director will play a pivotal role in maintaining the company?s ISO certifications, supporting audits, managing corrective actions, and continually improving Magris Talc?s HSEQ programs to achieve excellence and safe practices across the organization. In addition, the HSEQ Director will embody Magris Talc?s core values ? JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS
* Oversee the HSEQ departments across Magris Talc?s sites, including leadership of the HSEQ teams and personnel.
* Serve as the key advisor to leadership on health, safety, environmental and quality related matters, ensuring alignment with the corporate strategy.
* Develop strategies for continuous improvement across HSEQ functions, teams, and sites.
* Define and implement the strategic HSEQ plan, ensuring team alignment and that regulatory requirements are met.
* Ensure compilation and maintenance of site records related to HSEQ functions.
* Ensure site HSEQ compliance, with team support, for all relative US and Canada regulatory requirements, laws, and industry standards.
* Work with HSEQ departments to coordinate systems integration and participate in integrated systems auditing.
* Oversee and ensure HSEQ training requirements are met with the support of the site?s HSEQ teams.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work closely with HSEQ teams, other site department managers, and directors to develop and meet operational HSEQ requirements.
* Oversee HSEQ systems integration with team support, to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement across sites.
* Oversee the management, training, and development of HSEQ teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous learning.
* Ensure compliance with all local, state, or provincial, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Ensure compliance with ISO Quality and Environmental Standards and Magris Talc?s HSEQ programs.
* Identify and effectively control risks related to organizational operations, integrating HSEQ considerations into procurement processes and operational planning.
* Collaborate with Government authorities during audits, inspections, investigations, and other necessary interventions.
* Manage and oversee monthly HSEQ Steering Committee Meetings and support organizational directives for HSEQ.
* Monthly?reporting of HSEQ activities and?results from all sites, for senior leadership and corporate teams.
* Participate?and support team investigations and remedial actions of?site incidents and?near-hits.
* Act as an Advisor on HSEQ standards and any related safety infractions and associated disciplinary actions to ensure the upholding of Magris?s values, ethics, and practices.
* Ensure programs, procedures, training, work practices and controls for HSEQ functions?are effectively implemented.
* Provide routine HSEQ support and guidance for HSEQ personnel and site managers.
* Ensure site HSEQ teams are effectively managing all employee training requirements for HSEQ related functions at the operational level.
* Drive the implementation of HSEQ programs and policies to assure compliance of all company facilities with Federal, Provincial, and Local HS regulations and ISO standards.
