At Richardson, we are committed to enhancing our facilities and services and investing in our people and our communities.  Richardson operates port terminals from coast to coast across Canada and exports Canadian-grown grains and oilseeds to end-use markets in over 50 countries around the globe. We currently have opportunities for General Labourers at our Richardson Port Terminal located in North Vancouver, BC.  This is an opportunity to work at one of the most successful grain handling facilities in the world, which exports canola and cereal grains to countries along the Pacific Rim.  As a General Labourer you will start in an entry level position and receive training into many of our Production positions in a heavy industrial environment.  Responsibilities:Heavy clean up duties such as shoveling grain spills, sweeping floors, brushing down equipment and structures, vacuuming grain residuesLoad / unload products to/from rail cars and trucksParticipates in training of other Rail Yard duties i.e. rail car switching and locomotive operationsProvide assistance and relief to other Production team membersOperate equipment within defined parametersOther duties as assigned Qualifications:RequiredMinimum Grade 12 Diploma or G.E.D.Must be capable of lifting and stacking, 50lbs, without assistanceAbility to work safely with limited supervision in a heavy industrial environmentMechanical aptitude and basic computer skillsBasic math, reasoning, and problem solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively in a team environmentA desire to be cross trained and learn about our businessShows a learner attitude, personal initiative and diligenceStrong work ethic and a proven safety recordAbility to work in conditions such as confined spaces, heights, dust, and temperature extremesAbility to work shift work on a rotational schedule including days, evenings, and graveyard AssetFirst Aid and Fork lift certificationCompletion of safety courses such as confined space, WHMIS, fall areaIndustrial work, Rail Yard / Locomotive, or grain handling experience Richardson International provides an excellent compensation package consisting of competitive salary, pension, a flexible benefits plan and training and career development opportunities. Interested candidates should click the Apply To This Position icon to apply online by March 17, 2025. Richardson International values diversity in the workplace.
