Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Hog and pig farming. Dusty. Noisy. Odours. Work setting: Rural area. Staff accommodation available. Tasks: Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs. Maintain livestock performance records. Perform general farm duties. Area of specialization: Swine.
