Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Child welfare. Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance). Work setting: Work in employer's/client's home. Community agency. Various locations. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Rural area. Tasks: Prepare reports or case histories. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Resolve conflict situations. Supervise children's visits with parents to ensure their safety. Implement behaviour management programs. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Manage events. Offer mentoring. Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. Target audience: Families. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail. MS Office. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Child welfare check. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
