Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Assign health care workers to specific projects and programs
  • Coordinate the delivery of health care services within the department
  • Direct and control daily operations
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Hire, train, direct and motivate staff
  • Manage contracts
  • Develop evaluation systems to monitor health care services
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information
  • Co-ordinate work of doctors, nurses and other staff
  • Consult with boards of directors, senior managers and government officials
