*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive foot and ankle care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of podiatric conditions. Experience in hospital settings, research, or acute care is highly valued. The Podiatrist will utilize advanced medical technology and electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner to ensure accurate documentation and efficient patient management. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' quality of life through expert foot and ankle treatment. *Responsibilities* * Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations focused on foot and ankle health * Diagnose various podiatric conditions such as infections, deformities, injuries, and chronic diseases affecting the lower extremities * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans encompassing medication administration, pain management, surgical interventions, or conservative therapies * Perform procedures such as wound care, ingrown toenail removal, and minor surgeries in accordance with clinical protocols * Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate patient care plans * Educate patients on foot health maintenance, injury prevention, and post-treatment care * Manage documentation accurately within electronic health record systems like Epic and Cerner * Participate in research initiatives or clinical studies related to podiatric medicine when applicable * Assist with data collection for quality improvement projects or clinical research efforts * Provide home care consultations or follow-up services as needed to ensure comprehensive patient support *Qualifications* * Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution * Valid state licensure to practice podiatry * Prior hospital experience or background in acute care settings preferred * Strong knowledge of medical terminology and current best practices in pain management and patient care * Experience with electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner is highly desirable * Familiarity with pediatric podiatry (pediatrics) and home care services is a plus * Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration * Ability to perform procedures safely while adhering to clinical protocols * Commitment to ongoing professional development through research or additional training opportunities This role offers a rewarding career path for licensed podiatrists committed to delivering high-quality foot and ankle healthcare within a supportive team environment.
