Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Professionalism in customer service. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Driving record check (abstract). Reference required. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel cross-border. Willing to travel for extended periods. Willing to travel internationally. Willing to travel overnight. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Reliability. Team player. Hardworking. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
