The Government of Canada will cut 3,300 positions, 20% of which are permanent, over three years at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The IRCC currently has 13,092 employees.

The Little Brothers, an organization dedicated to reducing isolation among seniors, laid off over 20 people who worked in 12 regions in Quebec
The Centre d’innovation du Cégep de Sept-Îles, which is dedicated to rail transport, among other things, is receiving around $2.3M from the Government of Quebec and just over $1M from the Government of Canada to facilitate its launch. The overall project of $42M should be delivered in June 2025.
