As Manager, IFRS 9 Analytics & Modelling, Enterprise Stress Testing, you will contribute to the overall success of IFRS 9 credit risk modelling, analytics, and reporting for Canadian retail and small business portfolios. Reporting to a Senior Manager or Director, you will ensure specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. You will also ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. You will collaborate, on a regular basis, with a wide range of stakeholders and internal/external partners including Global Retail Provisions, Model Validation and Approval, Compliance, and Audit. Your primary responsibility will be sharing responsibility for performing monthly and quarterly expected credit loss (ECL) analytics with a Senior Manager. ECL analytics responsibilities will include measuring ECL sensitivity and quantifying impacts arising from changes to models, macroeconomic scenarios, and portfolio data. Often, processes will need to be quickly adapted and run to answer questions and ad hoc requests from stakeholders and senior management. Over time, you will improve the efficiency and degree of automation of our analytics and assist with migrating our models and analytics to the cloud. As your familiarity with our portfolios and models grows, opportunities to develop and calibrate forward-looking probability of default (PD), loss-given default (LGD), and significant increase in credit risk (SICR) models are expected. In this role, you will: Analyze complex business requirements and generate technical solutions using industry best practices Implement production-ready code and assist with integration into larger IT workflows Be flexible, adapt quickly to change, and thrive in an evolving environment Develop credit risk models for the retail and small business portfolios that predict PD, LGD, SICR, or other parameters for IFRS 9 provisioning and financial reporting Document all processes or models developed and works with the model validation team to ensure timely and satisfactory validation of models Support the integration of new models into IFRS 9 and Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing analytics and reporting processes Work with stakeholders and technology partners to implement and test the models in user acceptance testing and production environmentsDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have: Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or other related quantitative discipline Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders across a wide variety of functions, including the ability to clearly summarize and display data Predictive modelling, statistical, and programming skills gained through work experience, a graduate degree, or other advanced training in a quantitative discipline Demonstrated ability to quickly and effectively identify and solve business and technical problems by: performing appropriate investigations, identifying solutions, weighing pros and cons of solutions, and making recommendations to management Experience processing data with pandas, visualizing data, and fitting models with Python Hands-on experience with Linux or UNIX systems and software version control with Git Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and embrace new concepts and technologies Domain expertise in retail credit risk and IFRS 9 is an asset Experience with R, dplyr, ggplot2, and sparklyr is an asset Hands-on experience with Power BI is an asset Experience with Google Cloud Platform is an assetWhat's in it for you?
