Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Family and consumer sciences/home economics teacher education. Technology teacher education/industrial arts teacher education. Engineering technologies and engineering-related fields, other. Electrician. Graphic design. or equivalent experience. Asset languages: Tagalog. Work site environment: All weather conditions. Work setting: School or educational institution/establishment. Church. Tasks: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs. Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse. Empty trash cans and other waste containers. Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Perform safety and security checks. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures. Work with minimal supervision.
